Our two Newly Renovated Clubhouses are the centerpieces of Village life, located for convenience in the southern and northern halves of the Village. Each is spacious and fully equipped (including kitchens) … with auditoriums for cultural activities, parties, plays, musicals and concerts; meeting rooms for club and group activities; activity rooms for classes, cards and other games.
The South Clubhouse offers ping pong tables and the Fitness Center (see below). The North Clubhouse contains a pool table, an outdoor bocce ball court and indoor golf driving range and putting green. There are barbeque picnic areas, with grills, at each Community Building.
Residents have the use of three large and lovely swimming pools (one of which is always designated as a children’s pool for visiting family). All are recently renovated and pristine. Two pools are at the South Clubhouse, one at the North Clubhouse. The adjoining patios offer relaxed, graceful settings where residents can sunbathe on a chaise or join friends at umbrella-covered tables.
Tennis and Pickleball
Perhaps no activity is more popular in the Village than tennis. We have 4 Synthetic Grass courts in a stadium-like setting with soft-surfaces that reduce stress on the body compared to conventional hard-court surfaces. The Village Tennis Association organizes matches and tournaments during the season. Residents also put together games with their friends & neighbors. Plus a 2 newly installed Pickelball courts.
Oronoque Village residents automatically become Social Members of Oronoque Country Club, with full access to the Clubhouse restaurant and bar, and with limited privileges to play golf. Oronoque Country Club offers a substantial discount on its fees to Village residents who decide to enroll as full golfing members.
A state-of-the-art Fitness Center, located in the South Clubhouse, offers treadmills, elliptical trainers, leg extension and leg curl machines and Life Cycles stationary bicycles for most types of workout regimens. The SCB is open daily from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. (except on national holidays or during private parties). Residents can obtain a keycard that gives entry to the Fitness Center when the SCB is closed.
Residents who wish to grow vegetables can do so on “Mini-Farm” plots about 10′ X 10′ in a fenced area near our Maintenance Department.
Best-sellers, fiction and nonfiction, and old-time favorite books are available to all Oronoque residents (plus videos and audiotapes) from the Village Library in the North Clubhouse. There is no need for a library card, no check-out fee or time constraints on returns. Videos and audiotapes are also available. The Library is open weekdays (8 a.m. to 11 p.m.) and weekends (9 a.m. to 11 a.m.).
