Facilities
Clubhouses
Our two Newly Renovated Clubhouses are the centerpieces of Village life, located for convenience in the southern and northern halves of the Village. Each is spacious and fully equipped (including kitchens) … with auditoriums for cultural activities, parties, plays, musicals and concerts; meeting rooms for club and group activities; activity rooms for classes, cards and other games.
The South Clubhouse offers ping pong tables and the Fitness Center (see below). The North Clubhouse contains a pool table, an outdoor bocce ball court and an indoor golf driving range and putting green. There are barbecue picnic areas, with grills, at each clubhouse.
Pools
Racquet Sports & Bocce
Oronoque Village offers a variety of racquet sports including outdoor tennis and pickleball, and indoor ping-pong. All residents of the Village are encouraged to enjoy these amenities and the gates are always unlocked. For special play-times, activities and equipment, residents are invited to join any of the clubs associated with these activities: The Tennis Club, The Pickleball Club and a group of table tennis players.
The facilities include:
- 3 recently updated, synthetic-turf tennis courts
- 5 newly installed, hard-surface pickleball courts
- 2 indoor table tennis tables (South Clubhouse)
- A bocce court
Courtside, there is a small set of bleachers under a sheltered area where players congregate, observe play, have a drink of water, fill water bottles, find notices and sign up for play, and check bulletin boards. An attached storage shed houses ball machines for both pickleball and tennis, and ball pick-up baskets. The machines are the property of the individual clubs and for members’ use only. Each court has individual benches for observers, equipment and a rest.
Mini-Farms
Residents who wish to grow vegetables may request to do so on “Mini-Farm” plots about 10′ X 10′ in a fenced area near our Maintenance Department.
Library
Best-sellers, fiction and nonfiction, and old-time favorite books are available to all Oronoque residents (plus videos and audiotapes) from the Village Library in the North Clubhouse. There is no need for a library card, no check-out fee or time constraints on returns. Videos and audiotapes are also available. The Library is open when the North Clubhouse is open.
