A Message From Executive Director Mark Rhatigan
Dear Residents:
The Business Office has received an unprecedented number of complaints pertaining to irresponsible dog owners/dog walkers who are not properly disposing of dog waste.
There seems to be a recent, and ongoing, trend in which bags that contain dog waste are being left on lawns, pathways, sidewalks and, according to reports, hung from trees within the community and on the cart path.
This is unacceptable – and extremely irresponsible — behavior. If you own a dog or walk a dog, you are responsible for cleaning up after the dog and disposing of the dog waste in a proper waste container.
We ask all residents to please be diligent, keep their eyes peeled and take photos of the people they see defying the rules of responsible dog ownership. Please email your photos to the Business Office (office@oronoquevillage.com) and we promise that the culprits will be contacted with stern written warnings and follow-up fines.
We are well aware that the majority of OV residents take pride in the trees, the gardens and the beautiful landscaping of this community and the nearby golf course.Unfortunately, there are a few people who do not respect the grounds or their neighbors. We need your help in identifying the rulebreakers who are spoiling the scenic outdoors for others.
Thank you.
Mark RhatiganExecutive Director
