Facilities

Community Buildings

Our two Newly Renovated Clubhouses are the centerpieces of Village life, located for convenience in the southern and northern halves of the Village. Each is spacious and fully equipped (including kitchens) … with auditoriums for cultural activities, parties, plays, musicals and concerts; meeting rooms for club and group activities; activity rooms for classes, cards and other games.

The South Clubhouse offers ping pong tables and the Fitness Center (see below). The North Clubhouse contains a pool table, an outdoor bocce ball court and indoor golf driving range and putting green. There are barbeque picnic areas, with grills, at each Community Building.

Pools

Residents have the use of three large and lovely swimming pools (one of which is always designated as a children’s pool for visiting family). All are recently renovated and pristine. Two pools are at the South Clubhouse, one at the North Clubhouse. The adjoining patios offer relaxed, graceful settings where residents can sunbathe on a chaise or join friends at umbrella-covered tables.

Racquet Sports & Bocce

Oronoque Village offers a variety of racquet sports including outdoor tennis and pickleball, and indoor ping-pong. All residents of the Village are encouraged to enjoy these amenities and the gates are always unlocked. For special play-times, activities and equipment, residents are invited to join any of the clubs associated with these activities: The Tennis Club, The Pickleball Club and a group of table tennis players.

The facilities include:

  • 4 recently updated, synthetic-turf tennis courts
  • 3 newly installed, hard-surface pickleball courts
  • 2 indoor table tennis tables (South Community Building)
  • A bocce court

Courtside, there is a small set of bleachers under a sheltered area where players congregate, observe play, have a drink of water, fill water bottles, find notices and sign up for play, and check bulletin boards. An attached storage shed houses ball machines for both pickleball and tennis, and ball pick-up baskets. The machines are the property of the individual clubs and for members’ use only. Each court has individual benches for observers, equipment and a rest.

Oronoque Country Club

Oronoque Village residents may opt to become Social Members of Oronoque Country Club, with full access to the Clubhouse restaurant and bar, and with limited privileges to play golf. Oronoque Country Club offers a substantial discount on its fees to Village residents who decide to enroll as full golfing members.

Fitness Center

A state-of-the-art Fitness Center, located in the South Clubhouse, offers treadmills, elliptical trainers, leg extension and leg curl machines and Life Cycles stationary bicycles for most types of workout regimens. The SCB is open daily from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. (except on national holidays or during private parties). Residents can obtain a keycard that gives entry to the Fitness Center when the SCB is closed.

Mini-Farms

Residents who wish to grow vegetables may request to do so on “Mini-Farm” plots about 10′ X 10′ in a fenced area near our Maintenance Department.

Library

Best-sellers, fiction and nonfiction, and old-time favorite books are available to all Oronoque residents (plus videos and audiotapes) from the Village Library in the North Clubhouse. There is no need for a library card, no check-out fee or time constraints on returns. Videos and audiotapes are also available. The Library is open when the North Club House is open.
