The Villager magazine is published on the 1st and 15th of each month, when possible. Below are the scheduled dates of publication and the issue deadlines. These dates are subject to change.

The bimonthly Villager Magazine welcomes — and does its best to accommodate — submissions from resident writers.

However, there are certain parameters that must be followed by contributors.

Submissions that highlight Oronoque Village community-related events, activities and residents – in a positive manner — are encouraged.

All submissions are subject to review and alteration by The Villager editor. (Submissions will be edited to conform to the format of the Associated Press Stylebook.)

Articles that include inappropriate humor, sexism or bias will be edited to conform to standards deemed appropriate by the Communications Committee.

Submissions cannot endorse or oppose political or religious beliefs.

Submissions cannot be critical of OVCA, OVCA residents, OVTD, Business Office or Maintenance Office policies or staff members.

Submissions that are of personal gain or self-promote the contributor will not be accepted.

The accuracy of statements published in The Villager are the responsibility of the contributor.

It is advised that unsolicited manuscripts be discussed in advance with the Villager editor to determine potential acceptance.

Creative essays and submissions of poetry will be given consideration.

Articles should be 500 words or less in length. (This rule does not apply to submissions on behalf of the OVCA and OVTD Boards.)

All accepted submissions will be published when space is available in the magazine.

Articles pertaining to OVCA-, OVTD-, community- and resident-related matters are given priority.
