Notice of Updates to Website Directory/Address Book

OV Residents, exciting news! We have updated the OV Directory on our website: oronoquevillage.com > Resident’s Log In > Directory > Address Book.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. The Frontsteps portal is no longer used and effective 7/1/2023 your access will be removed. That’s actually old news.
   • But that means we’ve deleted all the @oronoquevillage.frontsteps.com email addresses that were used by some people to create a profile in FrontSteps.
   • You’ll need to use your existing log-in credentials for the OV website directory, or, create a new log-in.
   • If you need to create a new log-in, go to the public side of oronoquevillage.com, click on log in and click on “new to Oronoque Village? Click here to register.”
   • If you have trouble with log-in, please contact Carol King or Chrissy Smith at the office – 203-377-5313.

We’re eager to help you gain access to the directory and control your own entry!

2. We have reinvested in the Directory / Address Book on oronoquevillage.com.
   • We have added 52 neighbors
   • We will be deleting 132 neighbors who no longer live in OV
   • We have removed duplicates
   • And we have merged information from the Front Steps portal with information from the OV website directory so as not to lose any of the information you have provided
   • There are some new options in the directory:
     • You can still choose to not be published
     • You can now upload a profile photo!
     • We now have the following fields:
       1. Email 1
       2. Email 2
       3. Phone 1
       4. Phone 2
       5. Cell Phone
     • We have made the District its own field because many of us didn’t previously realize that the District is displayed in the directory
     • It’s now clearer which fields are required in order to have an entry
     • You can search the directory by last name or by street name (another piece of older news)

We worked very hard to preserve your information just as you entered it, but merging data from different sources and removing duplicates did require some judgement calls that we anticipate won’t be exactly what you would have chosen yourself. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we know that the new directory will be very helpful in creating neighborly bonds in our community so we hope you’ll bear with us.
